How Many Kinds Of Warts Are There?
December 30th, 2008 by cashcowWarts are an unwanted blemish on any part of your body, but what causes them and how do you get rid of them? Luckily, if you’ve got them, you can get rid of them and they may even go away on their own.
Believe it or not, they are actually caused by a virus. It’s called human papillomavirus in it mutates your skin cells. What happens is your cells multiply faster than they should causing too many cells for the space and resulting in a wart. So a wart is simply too many skin cells trying to compete for the same space. You’ll often notice warts have dark dots and these are actually your blood vessels.
There are a few different kinds of warts that you might get in different places on your body.. The common wart is what is usually seen on hands, elbows and knees. Plantar warts are the ones you get on the bottom of your feet. Plantar warts are often transmitted through sweat pouring in pools and public showers. Warts on the face are often flatter in appearance and are called flat warts.
There are many different ways to get rid of warts, but not every method will work for everyone. Everything from salicylic acid to freezing to duct tape could work. Try one method if that doesn’t work choose something else – eventually you’ll find something that does get rid of your warts.
