Worrying About Deals

Don’t worry about what people are going to be thinking about it, don’t worry about whether or not the material is going to connect. The industry of book publishing is a complex myriad of market statistics and hopeful thinking. If you become too focused on whether or not your novel is going to sell, chances are it won’t at all. Oftentimes, the entire reason why you even began writing was to try and get some specific idea across that you feel needs to be said. Go ahead and do that, and if you get a deal, great. If not, at least you said your part.
