One belief about the origination of fairies was that when the angels rebelled in Heaven, God commanded his gates to be shut. Those that remained inside the gates remained angels, those outside went to hell and became devils, and those that were neither good nor bad were caught in the middle and became Fairies.

In folklore that uses the term “fairy,” there are a number of definitions of what constitutes a fairy. The term is used to describe many magical creatures, which can including goblins or gnomes, at other times, the term only describes a specific type of ethereal creature.

According to most folklore fairies are kind and loving creatures who are responsible for positive things in nature, like the dawn glow or the bright colors of the flowers. They are usually dipicted as shy creatures preferring to keep to themselves.

Fairies are also tiny creatures that live at the bottom of gardens, the middle of grassy meadows, and on the edge of marshes. Whenever a seed sprouts, a flower fairy is born. Flower fairies just love music, dancing, and hold a lot of parties and balls throughout the year, occasionally they throw a special party, and every fairy in fairyland is invited!

Fairies don’t like to be seen or discovered, they are very good at quickly disappearing, with help from their fairy dust. You must be very patient and careful if you wish to see one.

Even small children can enjoy dressing up as a cute fairy this year. Toddlers, teens, and adults are sure to have a great time as a fairy for Halloween and one they will not forget easily – all because of their costume!
