New Dual HD Downconverter for Broadcasters
April 14th, 2008 by rdinelleGrass Valley, CA April 14, 2008 – Ensemble Designs today announced that it will introduce two new HD downconverters for its Avenue™ modular signal integration system. The 7130 Distribution Amplifier and Downconverter and the 7925 Dual HD Downconverter will be unveiled at booth #SU2326 at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) convention held April 14-17 in Las Vegas.
“The new downconverters both offer analog audio out which meets the needs of many broadcasters,” said Mondae Hott, Director of Sales at Ensemble Designs. “For facilities that need to handle both SD and HD signals and need audio for monitoring, these new modules are the solution.”
The 7925 module is a two channel, dual downconverter with HD and SD outputs that can be used in the most demanding broadcast applications. With two downconverters on one module, the 7925 provides high efficiency with excellent picture quality. The downconverted outputs are timeable with respect to the reference input and can feed production switchers and routers. The 7925 accepts 720p, 1080i, 1080sF and 1080p inputs that are synchronous or asynchronous. If an SD SDI input is received, SD is passed to the output. Internal progressive processing is performed at 16 bits of resolution.
