How to find online support groups
November 30th, 2008 by jaskilgoreYou may have a few of the more common support groups in your local community. There are probably ones for drinking and drug addiction, and some for grief. However, there are other things that may be needed, but your community does not have the numbers to support having such a group. People with depression, long illnesses, divorce, affairs, and things like traumatic accidents or abuse. Those are just some of the few Online Support Groups that you may not find locally.
Probably the best thing about online support groups is that you can remain totally anonymous if that is what you want to do. You can sign up with any name you want, and you can leave out most information that might make you identifiable to someone that you know locally.
