Understand Cholesterol Numbers:
A cholesterol test helps us to identify the presence or absence of potential cholesterol problems. There are two types of cholesterols; good cholesterol and bad cholesterol. The presence of bad cholesterol means plaque builds up inside the arteries causing blockage in free flow of blood and it causes serious heart disease later. When you meet with your doctor to discuss your cholesterol you should have your cholesterol numbers ready.
