Backyard Bird Feeding

One of the ways that many bird lovers get closer to their bird friends is with backyard bird feeding. They set up bird feeders and feeding stations in their backyards and simply watch as the multitude of species discover and invade their garden.

Long before man, birds were totally self sufficient. They lived and died based on how well they were able to hunt for and forage for foods in the wild. Today, however, hundreds of bird species are at least partially dependent on the foods that they are able to get from bird feeders in gardens all across the country.

Today, bird lovers who set out feeders and such are performing an essential purpose in keeping many of these species alive and viable.
