Symptoms of Scoliosis and Treatment Options

Nobody really knows why scoliosis occurs. But if the condition is found out early, it can often be treated. Unfortunately, the early stages of scoliosis is hard to detect.

Scoliosis is a condition that results in an improper curving of an individual’s spine and sometimes incorrect rotation of the spine. While the problem begins as abnormal posture, it can progress to deformity and — if untreated — complications to the lungs, heart, and other vital organs.

Here are some facts that we know about this painful condition:

* Women seem to suffer a lot from scoliosis;
* It’s also often found in people with cerebral palsy or spina bifida;
* It may be present at birth because of an anomaly.
