Texas Poker

I do not remember Texas poker being a big deal when I was growing up. We usually played five card draw. My dad was a big poker player, and he knew all the games, but Texas hold em poker was rarely in his repertoire. None of his friends seemed to be that in to it back then. It was too high stakes, and him and all his friends were pretty cautious types. Nonetheless, things have changed. Texas hold em online poker is the big thing now. Everyone wants to play. I think a lot of it has to do with the no limit Texas holdem poker championships that have been televised recently. The stakes are so high and the suspense is so palpable that people who aren’t normally drawn for poker are pulled into the shows like you wouldn’t believe.
