Guitar Hero 5 – Rocking Out Made Simple

Guitar Hero 5, the fifth installment of the ever popular Guitar Hero series adds more flavor and the melodies of the genre. For those of you who do not know what Guitar Hero 5 is, it is a rhythm based game which can be played on X-Box 360, PS3 and Nintendo Wii with a specially designed guitar controller (like the dance pad controller of the Dance Dance Revolution games).
Ever wonder how Guitar Hero is played? All you need is knowledge of at least a couple of songs in the game, a sense of music and rhythm, some patience and quick fingers to play the instrument. You need to match the notes that are displayed on the screen to earn some points; the game series also features real life guitar tricks like the hammer-on and pull offs. It may take some time to get used to, but you’ll definitely enjoy the rest of the game series and hopefully play your way all the way to Guitar Hero 5.
Some tips you should know about Guitar Hero 5 and its predecessors are techniques and methods. Although the pseudo-guitar does not look or behave like a real guitar, you should know its features before playing the game. You can play a note, push or pull the strum bar, but the combination of pressing the 5 fret buttons with the Strum bar provides the real stuff. Once you have connected your guitar controller to the console, you will find options such as Career, Quick Play, Multiplayer, Training, and Options. The real essence of Guitar Hero 5 and its series rely on career game mode where you can play at least 35 different songs with 4 difficulty levels. Completing each song helps you to collect money and fame. Quick game lets you play 10 songs by default, while the gains you get from the career game mode allows you to buy more songs.
In order to create a multiplayer session, you should use another guitar controller and access the Multiplayer feature. It is very important to review the Tutorials before you play the game. You can also change settings from the Options menu.
Do not be impatient. When you play Guitar Hero 5, choose the simplest songs first. You can increase your score multiplier if you’ve combined together at least 10 different notes. The use and number of the fret buttons are based on the difficulty of the game. You also have access to different techniques, Whammy Bar, Hammer on, pull and push.
