What Makes A Car A Collectible?

February 8th, 2010 by craigkant

Opinions vary as to the value of used cars which is why price guides are so useful to collectors and others interested in purchasing one of these cars.

A perfect example of a very useful class car price guide is the so called “Collector Car Price Guide” which normally comes out at the end of the year. It’s useful because it provides buyers and sellers with critical information on the availability of certain types of classic cars, locating classic cars, and the prices that many of them have sold for during the just completed year.

The price of a classic car will, in many ways, be determined by whether it is considered a collectible. If it’s not a collectible, it is merely an “old” car. Collectibles, on the other hand, are usually scarce, hard to find, and in demand.
