Look For Acai Pulp Whole Foods Without Seeds
December 19th, 2009 by craigkantIf you live in the Amazon forests, obtaining acai is a piece of cake. You go to the nears acai tree and simply pick the berries straight off the tree – with no cost to you whatsoever. Getting it to the states, however, presents a whole new set of problems. The first is how to keep if fresh on the way from Brazil to here. Secondly, it’s how to package it. For example, do you ship with seeds or not.
To determine if seed has been used in your favorite acai pulp whole foods product, look for the term “acai extract” on the label. This is simply a way of saying that the ingredient could be from “any” part of the acai fruit.
You can easily interpret this to be the seed because if it were any other part of the plant, you can be sure that the marketers would have highlighted it in bold letters on the package.
