Style Quality and Flair in a Wrist Watch
August 8th, 2008 by kingsxWhen your business hits a speed hump, you have to come up with something special to get back on track. That’s what happened to the Swatch Group in Switzerland when the Japanese starting making millions of digital wrist watches. Swatch watches were born in the 1980s and they haven’t looked back ever since. It was no good the Swiss making more of their traditional wrist watches. They needed something different. So they halved the number of working parts, gave the watches the same quality for which the Swiss are famous but made the look different. The new watches came in a variety of colors and styles. They were marketed as a second watch, a fun fashion accessory. And boy did it work.
