Search Bar

It seems that everywhere I look there is a search bar for some reason or another. Though I understand that searching is the most common way to find anything online, I can’t imagine that each site needs to have one of these, at least if it is not connected to the site. You can’t fight progress though, and if they are going to be all over the Internet, you might as well take advantage of them and get use to seeing them. There are different types though, and some are more useful than others. The major search engines try to get search bars on as many sites as they possibly can so that more and more people use their particular search. This is a matter of competition and that is to be expected. Some even pay when a user on a site decides to use that toolbar, though it is not a lot of money.
