When your car breaks down and it’s out of warranty, chances are you try to see if you can’t make the repair yourself. For me, a true mechanical idiot, all but the simplest repair is nigh impossible. However, I still have an auto repair guide to consult, if for no other reason than to be able to ascertain that (1) I’m out of my league and (2) so that I can take a stab at speaking intelligently to the auto repair guy and hope he won’t be able to befuddle me to the point that I take his word for it when he tries to sell me a new engine when all I need is a fan belt. While my auto repair guide hasn’t enabled me to make repairs on my own, I know it has saved me money at the shop.

Imagine opening your mail box during the holiday season to see that someone dear has sent you a lovely greeting card – it’s enough to make you teary. But time and again, the only thing that you see in your mail box is unsolicited paper catalogs. You wonder why that company sent them to you. Why cut millions of trees to make those junk paper catalogs that you would throw straight into the trash? Is there any stopping these catalogers?
Well, there is a perfect solution, a website called eCatalog Creator. Their mission is to stop those junk paper catalogs from being sent. It urges catalogers to switch to the eco-friendly flash catalog. A flash catalog, or eCatalog, is an online version of the paper catalog. It can either be set up on a website or sent out to customers on a CD.
The page flip effect on the flash catalog gives it the look of a paper catalog while being environment friendly. Customers may visit the cataloger’s website and browse through the products in 3D page flipping software. They may select a product, zoom in to view the product page in detail, and print the selected product page. They may then order the selected product online. Therefore, the flash catalog also expedites the sales process.
Flash catalog has greater coverage because it uses the Internet as a means of marketing. For those customers who don’t have Internet, the flash catalog can be sent out on a CD.
Also, the production cost of a flash catalog is minimal compared to that of a paper catalog.
As per forestethics.org, over 8 million tons of trees are used each year to create billions of paper catalogs – most of them have no recycled content and end up in trash without ever being looked at. I urge catalogers to stop this insanity now. Save paper, save trees, switch to the eco-friendly eCatalog.

If you want to have children, it is important to put a lot of thought into it. A lot of parents dive into it without really coming up with an approach that they can use across the board. They sort of figure that they will handle problems as they crop up, not understanding how difficult it is going to be for them to raise a child. Some parents I know refuse to read parenting books because they feel they can handle it on their own. In my opinion, they are missing the point of books on parenting. It is not like you should follow a parenting book like it is a recipe. Rather, these books provide you with an opportunity to consider different attitudes and approaches to how to raise a child and decide which one is the best.

Any writer will tell you how thrilling it is to see your name on a byline with your first published piece. They’ll also usually tell you it took quite a while to get that big thrill. Writers are not known for their marketing skills. You may be a terrific writer, but if you don’t market your skills, it’s pretty slow going. Once you know how to go about getting a story published, it can happen fast! If you’re just starting out in your writing career, here are some pointers on the fast track to getting published. You finished your story. You revised and nitpicked until it screams perfection. After a final proofreading, you submitted your work to that well known national magazine. You’re prepared to wait a few months for a reply.
What’s wrong with this scenario? Although you followed the standard protocol, your chances of getting a story published in this magazine are probably not good. Don’t get me wrong, this does not necessarily reflect on the quality of your work. It could be that the editor is simply not interested in your topic at this time. You may not even receive a rejection notice. Worse yet, you sit and wait, wasting time and other, better opportunities.

Paper Catalogs are Destroying North America’s Endangered Forests
Each year, catalogers mail out more than 20 billions catalogs – that’s 67 catalogs for every man, woman and child in the US. Almost none of this paper contains any recycled content. Hence every year, over 8 millions tons of trees are cut down to make catalogs alone. Worst of all, most of those catalogs are unread and discarded. Paper catalogs are needlessly consuming North America’s most valuable forests and filling our overburdened landfills. (Stats as per ForestEthics)
Environmentally Smart Catalogs are Good Business
In an era of increasing competition and growing public concern about corporate responsibility, companies can demonstrate their values and protect their brands by becoming Endangered Forest-friendly. By switching to flash catalogs, advertisers and catalogers can save forests, energy and water. Using online flash catalogs instead of paper catalogs also reduces solid waste going to landfills, and prevents air and water pollution.
The Time is Right for Industry-Wide Change
Consumers are learning that paper catalogs do much more than clog their mailboxes. They are concerned about the impacts of paper manufacturing and use on their forests and environment. Responsible business practices improve customer loyalty and reduce the risk of controversy. Several big companies like New Age Industrial and AZX Sport have switched to a flash catalog or eCatalog. It is time for other catalogers and advertisers to do the same.
eCatalog Creator is a digital publishing service which converts your paper catalog into an online page flip flash catalog. Help us protect the Endangered Forests by reducing paper use. Convert your paper catalog to an eCatalog now!

People want the facts, and they want them now. They don’t care as much about artistry. That doesn’t mean that there isn’t any points to learning how to write an ebook artistically. There is no rule saying that this type of book has to be published online and that type of book has be published in print. More and more authors are publishing electronically, even if they are the type of writers who do fairly conventional prose. Online fiction is a growth area, and you can do it in a pretty conventional manner. Nonetheless, there are a few strategies to how to write an ebook that will help fiction writers as much as anyone else. You see, writing online gives you access to certain tools that other writers don’t have.

One of the most important guidelines for effective writing that I have ever seen is to know your audience. A lot of people take the attitude that more formal is better. Other people take the opposite attitude: the more like speech your writing is, the more effective it will be. In reality, neither of these is the case. Although writing instructors often have students write formal essays, this is not because the essay is necessarily the most effective writing for every situation. It is simply that, if you are called on to argue a point, being able to write formally is crucial. Similarly, if you’re writing a blog, you need to be able to write in a style that is at once informal and informative.

The general perception used to be that in order to sell luxury products you need a thick glossy catalog with glamour shots of the products on heavyweight paper. So for years catalogers have sent out billions of paper catalogs, cutting millions of trees in the process. Worst of all, most of those catalogs had no recycled content and went straight into the trash without ever being read – a terrible waste of natural resources. But today companies are finding that the beautiful paper catalogs can be a business liability.
Catalogers are gradually switching to the eco-friendly and low cost flash catalog. The flash catalog created by eCatalog Creator is in essence an online version of your paper catalog. Getting your paper catalog converted to a flash catalog is really simple:
You provide the PDF of your paper catalog to eCatalog Creator and they convert your PDF into a page flip catalog, which may be set up on your website OR on the company’s website (as per your choice of plan). You may even send the eCatalog on a CD to your customers. The amazing page flip effect on these catalogs offers the look and feel of a paper catalog while being eco-friendly. Besides saving money and paper, online catalogs can be updated instantly to reflect changes in price and cover art.
The interactive flash catalog comes with loads of useful features – zoom in on a page up to a high level of detail, tell a friend about the catalog, intuitive navigation controls, print a page, and full screen view, among others. Catalogers can happily get rid of the paper catalog, and go get an eco-friendly flash catalog.

Are you still using the expensive and non-eco-friendly paper catalog to market your product line? If so then it is high time that you got your paper catalog converted to the eco-friendly, low cost flash catalog.
eCatalog Creator is a digital publishing service. They convert your paper publication into an online version. Your customers then have access to your eCatalog, which they can browse in 3D page-flipping software as if they had a paper catalog in front of them. This interactive and intuitive web-based application allows you to display your products in an attractive fashion.
The flash catalog works like a virtual flip book. You may either set it up on your website OR put in on a CD and send it out to your customers. Therefore, the eCatalog is accessible 24/7. The following are a few benefits of using a flash catalog instead of a paper catalog:
- Flash catalog has unmatched coverage since it can be used online as well as send out on a CD. As more and more people prefer to read online, you are bound to get more customers, which in turn will lead to more sales.
- The cost of printing and posting thousands of paper catalogs can be huge. There are NO such costs when you use a page flip catalog. The customer may print whatever product page he likes.
- The cost of creating a flash catalog is minimal compared to that of a paper catalog. Updating an eCatalog is also a breeze as opposed to the long and arduous cycle of printing and posting each new edition of your paper catalog, not to mention the cost associated with doing so.
- It takes millions of trees to create the catalog industry’s mountains of paper catalogs. Worst of all, most of those catalogs have no recycled content and are thrown without ever being read. Flash catalog is an eco-friendly alternative to the traditional paper catalog.
Save the trees, save your printing and posting costs, convert your paper catalog to a page flip catalog.

It has been almost three decades since the notion of a paperless office was put forth, yet we cut more trees than ever. The idea of a paperless office may seem elusive, but we can surely reduce paper consumption to a great extent. Let’s face it – paper is bulky and difficult to store and there are environmental concerns. Take for example, the paper catalog.
Every year, the catalog industry as a whole sends out more than 20 billion catalogs (as per forestethics.org) — that’s 67 catalogs for every man, woman, and child in America. Endangered Forests like the Canadian Boreal and the U.S. South are being devastated in the process. It takes millions of trees to produce the catalog industry’s mountains of catalogs. Worst of all, most of those catalogs have no recycled content and are discarded without ever being looked at.
We can save those precious trees by minimizing the use of paper catalogs. eCatalog Creator is a digital publishing service which offers an interactive way to distribute product information to customers, prospects and distributors. Their eCatalog, or online flash catalog, is a digital page flip version of the paper catalog. It is designed for maximum ease of use and flexibility.
Flash catalogs are available online 24×7. Therefore, the customer or prospective buyer is always aware of the latest offers by the company. The eCatalog provides greater coverage, since it uses the Internet as the medium of communication. It targets the exponentially growing group of people who prefer to read online.
It is high time that we go digital, and do our bit to lessen our environmental footprint. To start with, get your paper catalog converted to an online flash catalog or eCatalog. The production cost of an online flash catalog is minimal compared to that of a paper catalog. So you will not only save the environment, but also save big bucks for yourself.

What protects the copyright law?
The copyright protection is a kind of intellectual property rights, and it protects the author of works including dramatic literature, art and music, and poetry, films, novels, songs, software and architecture. The copyright does not protect the ideas, facts, systems or methods of operation, if they protect May, as these things are expressed.
Copyright does not protect systems, concepts, ideas or methods of doing something. You may convey your ideas in writing or drawings and claim copyright in your explanation, but that copyright will not protect the idea itself as revealed in your written or artistic work.

I, Andy Johnston, own an outdoor furniture store in LA. For quite some time, I had been using a paper catalog to market my product line. Since I ran a monthly paper catalog, I had to get it printed and sent out to thousands of prospective customers each month. I soon realized that I was spending too much money on printing and mailing the paper catalogs, and I was anxious that it was not being read by all who received it. I was in desperate need of a smart solution and that is when I chose eCatalog Creator.
eCatalog Creator is a digital publishing service. They converted my existing paper publication into an online version. My customers now have access to my online eCatalog, which they can browse in 3D page-flipping software as if they had a real copy in front of them, except that the eCatalog is intuitive and interactive. eCatalog Creator’s flash catalog is a web-based application that allows me to display my catalog in a modern and intuitive fashion.
The flash catalog is placed on my website. It functions like an online flip book – website visitors may flip through the eCatalog pages just like they would on a paper catalog – by dragging the page corners. The page flip effect on these online flash catalogs is really awesome. Since they are uploaded on my website, they are available online 24/7. So I don’t need to spend too much on that paper catalog anymore. 85% of my prospective customers have Internet access, so I now send the paper catalog to only the remaining 15%. I am saving big bucks with this change in strategy.
Well, here are a few of the benefits I have received from using a flash catalog instead of a paper catalog.
- To start with, the cost of printing and mailing thousands of paper catalogs was eating away my profits. There are NO such costs when I use a flash catalog. The website visitor may herself print whatever product page she likes.
- Flash catalog has unmatched coverage since it uses the Internet as a medium of communication. There is no denying the fact that the number of people connected to the Internet is growing exponentially – and so are my sales since I have been using flash catalogs.
- Page flip catalog expedites the sales process by bringing the products directly to the buyer’s desktop. A buyer can simply flip through the pages, narrow down on a product, and place an order online.
- Production cost of a flash catalog is minimal relative to that of a paper catalog. Also updating the online flash catalog is a breeze when compared with the long cycle of printing and mailing each new edition of my paper catalog – not to mention the costs associated with doing so.
By all means, do what I did – save your printing and mailing costs, save the trees, go get a page flip catalog.

Some poets are contented with seeing their poems published in poetry websites where the public can have free and total access to their work. However, the more serious poetry writers will wish for something more, such as their own ebook containing their poetry collection. If you take a look at a poetry publishers list, you will find that many companies can do this for you. However, understand that you might have to spend a some money for this as compared to simply posting your poems in your blog. If money is no problem, or if you expect your ebook to make huge sales, then do it by all means. However, this technique will usually only work for established writers. If you are a beginner who is just.

Still using that old paper catalog to promote your business? No offense, but that is kind of pedestrian. Surveys show that a growing number of people prefer to read online, and I bet you are one of them. It is high time that you get your paper catalog converted to a flash catalog. eCatalog Creator’s flash catalog, also known as an ecatalog, is a web application that displays your paper catalog in the form of an intuitive page flip book.
Unlike a paper catalog, which your customers need to store somewhere, a flash catalog is available online 24/7 since it resides on a website. Your website visitors may flip through the flash catalog by either dragging the page corners, or by using the interactive navigation panel. The amazing eCatalog gets you word of mouth popularity and skyrockets your business sales.
Let us delineate a few of the financial benefits of using a flash catalog:
Save Big Bucks – The cost of printing and posting thousands of paper catalogs can be huge, something that can eat away your profits. There are simply NO such costs when you use a flash catalog. The website visitor may himself print whatever product page he likes.
Expedited Sales Process – Page flip catalog expedites the sales process by bringing the products directly to the buyer’s computer. A buyer can simply flip through the pages, narrow down on a product, and place an order online. Now, how’s that for a sales process – short & sweet.
Rock Bottom Price – Production cost of a flash catalog is minimal relative to that of a paper catalog. Also, think of what you have to do whenever a new edition of your paper catalog arrives – get it printed and post it to each prospective customer – what a pain. On the other hand, updating an online flash catalog is a breeze.
Increase Catalog Coverage – Flash catalog has unmatched coverage since it uses the Internet as a medium of communication. There is no denying the fact that the number of people connected to the Internet is growing exponentially – so getting a flash catalog enables you to target a significantly wider group of prospective customers.
Save the trees, save on printing and postage costs, go get a page flip catalog.

Things have changed greatly from when I was in high school and college. I was not introduced to anything having to do with computers until I was in my second year of college. My computer class consisted of learning how to code punch cards to inter information into a computer. It was slow and frustrating; it made no sense to me. I worked in the library on campus to help pay for my expenses. I worked in two areas; government documents and periodicals. I would help the research librarians collect information on different topics. I would also teach freshmen how to write a research paper by explaining how to look up government documents as well as periodicals.

You can get a cheap magazine subscription because the publishers don’t care about the cover price so much. The ones that are bought in the store for three or four dollars are somewhat of a bonus. When it comes to making money, any magazine relies on advertising money. This is where they make a majority of their income, and they make more if they have more readers. There are some that allow you to submit your article and put a price on it for someone who may wish to purchase it. This is where you really have to do your research. You have to decide if you want to sell it once for exclusive rights or if you want to sell it at a lower price for non exclusive use by many sites. You should find out what articles like yours go for. If you price too high, no one will buy. If you go to low, you will be taken advantage of by the buyer. Spend some times reading the ins and outs of such sites before you take the plunge.
When you submit your article anywhere for money, be sure you know what rights you have and what rights you are giving up.

In the middle of writing your novel, be concerned with only that. Don’t worry about what people are going to be thinking about it, don’t worry about whether or not the material is going to connect. The industry of book publishing is a complex myriad of market statistics and hopeful thinking. If you become too focused on whether or not your novel is going to sell, chances are it won’t at all. Oftentimes, the entire reason why you even began writing was to try and get some specific idea across that you feel needs to be said. Go ahead and do that, and if you get a deal, great. If not, at least you said your part.

The Internet is a medium that is particularly suited to entrepreneurs and people who have the ability to recognize a consumer or business need and quickly move in to fill that need. Jeff Mills’ recentl release of a free e-Book called Outsource Compendium will help information marketers and small business owners work less while making more money. How? By outsourcing parts of their business. All business owners have parts of their business they don’t enjoy, aren’t good at, or that take a lot of time out of every day. Outsourcing allows them to do away with dividing their time between 15 activities every day and allows them to focus completely on the handful of tasks that actually add to their bottom line. It also insures that the tasks they used to dread are handled by competent, motivated people that actually enjoy doing those tasks rather than by someone who dreads doing them…which will give owners an amazing explosion in productivity.
There is a lot of hype surrounding the 70 page e-Book right now because it’s new and may be taken off the web at any time. Many business owners have asked for a review to peek “under the covers” before they give up their e-mail address to get it. This pent up demand drove the creation of a new Squidoo lens that provides a chapter-by-chapter review of the mammoth Outsource Compendium. Small business owners and information marketers can now easily determine which parts of the e-Book will help them the most and grab their copy before it’s gone.

There’s a definite formula to writing an ebook, and that once I get the basic feel for how to do it, the entire creation process will become a lot easier. Savvy marketers have discovered that there’s an ideal length for ebooks, that the margins should be a certain width, and that there should be plenty of white space on each page so the reader doesn’t get intimidated at the prospect of taking in too much information. There are even pricing guidelines out there to help me decide how much to sell it for once I finish writing an ebook.

Though there are good ways to do it, this might be a sure fire way to have your email address marked as spam, and you may not be able to email anyone through your business site. There are times when mass emails are okay, but you should never buy or blindly put together a mailing list unless you want to have a heap of problems.

With the boring and mundane music that is played on the radio these days, many people are turning to audio books to keep them entertained during their long commutes to work. Audio books are an ideal product for people who enjoy reading, but can never find the time to relax because of their busy schedules. Audio books are also great for people who travel frequently and want to enjoy a good book on the way. Options are also available for children to use, making audio books a great travel tool for families.
There are many reasons why people choose the audio version of a book instead of the printed version. Convenience and accessibility are certainly two reasons. If you want to listen to your book while you’re driving to work, you can. If you want to listen to your book while you’re at the gym working out, you can do that, too. Audio versions of books go more places than printed books ever could.
