November 24th, 2011 by author

It can be a hoot learning about digital cameras and how they achieve this. This is where you try to capture a particularly wide panoramic scene in one picture with some special digital wizardry. To capture a scene that is a lot deeper than it is wide, is when you use Landscape Mode. Imagine yourself up on the mountains trying to capture foreground as well as background such as mountains, forests, rivers and valleys all over the place. You want everything to appear equally sharp. June 8th, 2011 by author

Your engagement only happens once so you want to make sure to get the highest quality engagement pictures possible. Thanks to advances in digital photography and computer software getting those high quality pictures has never been easier.

Before the advent of digital photography taking pictures proved an expensive affair. Film work, dark rooms and professional retouchers all added expense to getting a great final picture. But, now, all those things have been replaced with digital images and computer software.

Take the phenomena of red-eye in a picture. It used to require a professional retoucher to go in and take it out. Now, it is as easy as pie with almost any standard digital photography software program. In fact, it is so easy most programs, even those for novice users, have a ‘red eye removal’ button right there on the main menu bar. All you do is select the red eyes and click the button and “poof!” the red eye is gone. It is so easy you can often do it just a few minutes after opening the software for the first time.

Swansea Photographer – A Small Business Success

June 25th, 2010 by author

Swansea photographer Mr. Collin Davies created what many believe is the perfect local business. After all, not many of us get to do the job we really love on a day to day basis.

Collin has had a passion for photography since he was a small boy and whenever his budget allowed he would spend his money on upgrading or buying more equipment.

As a Swansea photographer his enthusiasm for his work clearly shone through in his Swansea photography business once it had been launched. When you are genuinely interested in something and love what you are doing that passion and enthusiasm rubs off onto your potential customers and clients making selling easier.

You will also find that making money is easier for any local business when you outwardly display your pride and drive for achieving outstanding results. In Collins case he was always trying to get that unusual photograph.

His local competitors would continue in their daily drudge of taking the same old photographs in the same old manner with the same old poses. In the meantime Collin would look for something different, something unique for that particular person or group of people.

His drive for providing excellent service resulted in his business growing rapidly.

Why?

The first thing that happened was his thrilled clients started spreading news about his business by word of mouth and as we all know in the sales games, word of mouth is the most potent seller you could possibly get.

Recommendations from family and friends is so powerful that word rapidly spread.

The second thing that happened was Collin started winning awards for his work. Now this is an interesting event because Collin was actively trying to win these events. His photographs won these competitions because he had been trying to over deliver to clients.

It doesn’t matter what business you’re in you should always be trying to over deliver to your customers and clients and your business will succeed and grow.

Many small businesses will spend a substantial budget on Yellow Pages, local papers, magazines, local radio and local TV. But much of this budget is wasted when the service provided is adequate or ordinary.

To succeed in today’s competitive environment you need to deliver a service or product that has your customers and clients with the ‘wow factor’. They need to be thrilled and confident in themselves that they made the right decision dealing with you.

The best investment any small business can make is to invest in their enthusiasm and commitment to deliver and over deliver to their customers.

A Swansea photographer, this typical small local business is a prime example of how your enthusiasm can be turned into a substantial profit.

Have you ever gone into a pet store and seen a display about a pet photographer coming to the store?
And what photographers do these stores pick on these busy days? They pick photographers with a mobile photography studio. The sky is a magnificent view at night time, and all the way back to our early origins man has tried to magnify this image for better view. With the technology we possess today, astronomy for the beginners has never been more affordable or easy.

Buying a telescope and watching the sky can be very relaxing, and many find this to be the perfect hobby and skills to learn. You really don’t need much equipment to start out. A telescope with x 50 magnification or higher (but don’t get lured by the cheap offers with high magnifications), decent aperture, and a quality tripod, and you are set to go.

Find a quiet area where you won’t be interrupted and see for your self. The sky really has a lot to offer.

Think about the most memorable photograph you have ever seen – whether in the newspaper, in a book or in photography gallery. What was is that was so special? For a lot of people, great photographs tell entire stories or reveal entire lives in one image. Although these pictures can be taken by accident, often they are taken through the eyes of someone with a story to tell. Buying a Digital Wireless Picture Frame

November 24th, 2009 by author

Since they came out, buying a digital wireless picture frame has always been on my mind. But thinking it was perhaps not anything more than a really nice gadget I didn’t take it any further. Now my thinking has changed.

I am always taking pictures of my family and friends. I always seem to have a camera ready to take snaps of events, like mu childrens school plays, vacations, celebrative dinners, and seasonal holidays, and I seem to be always snapping away for the majority of the time.

Often I can end up with hundreds of phtographs on my cameras memory storage card from just one event, of course the are then uploaded and filed on my computer for safe keeping.

Once they are stored on my computer I rarely ever print them out, they seem to get virtually forgotten about, so revisiting these photos and great memories rarely heppen at a later date.

It is a crying shame to have all these memories forgotten and virtually locked away gathering cyber dust, but printing them out is such a massive and time consuming task at this stage. I don’t think I would have any idea where to start now! So instead I have decided to bite the bullet, I am going to get a digital wireless picture frame or two, or three, so we can display all of our memorable photos right out in the open around the entire house.

One Way To Help You Stay Focused

October 7th, 2009 by author

You probably have come across bookshops and shopping centers selling these plastic laminated pictures. And some will have word or words spanning across the pictures of sceneries or background sceneries that depict some meaning that captures the thought and impression. Each of these may cost you a bit depending on the size of the poster you need.

Why not make one for yourself? One way to help you stay focused or you need reminders is through printing out a word art poster or picture. After that, laminate it or place it into a plastic folder and hang it up in front of your work desk or hang in up on your office wall or toilet wall. This will save you a lot and at the same time come in useful to remind you to stay focus in whatever situation you may be in.

You may be stressed or you may be in a cross road that needs some advice. Get yourself or make yourself a poster. Reflect and recall those times when certain word of encouragement lifted you up or may be spiritual words from the Bible or scripture kept you back on track. Make those words available once more through a quick print or quick coloring on your drawing block.

For some inspiration, check out this hubpage on Rainbow Posters.

Portrait Photography Tips That Will Add Extra Flair to Your Images

July 21st, 2009 by author

Portrait photography Tips
The direction of your subject’s gaze can have dramatic effects on the portrait. Having your subject focus on something outside the view of the camera can create a very candid and intriguing photograph. You can create a story within the image by focusing your subject’s attention on something within the frame, such as another person or an object. Candid shots look natural and can often be more flattering. Instead of having the subject pose, shoot them reacting normally to situations. Candid shots especially work well when photographing children. Black and white portrait photography is another method that adds elegance and drama to photographs while at the same time concealing minor imperfections like blemishes and skin discoloration.

Making The Best Choice When You Want To Buy An Olympus Digital Camera

July 12th, 2009 by author

Where is the best place to locate an Olympus digital camera where you can find out out more before deciding on getting the one that meets your needs? Thanks to the Internet, it has never been easier to compare the offers available from different retailers, both established names from the shopping malls and specialist independent photography stores. It is also easier than it has ever been to compare the specifications of different models, so that you can make sure you have the best camera for your own unique needs. That is, of course, the first step you need to take before you even think about buying.

To give you a better assessment of the cameras on offer as you make comparison, it is necessary to grasp some basic knowledge of the technical terms used in comparison, and each aspect have an impact on what you can do with each specific camera. If you are new to photography, get hold of a good basic guide which will explain everything to you fully. Once you are sure you understand the technical aspects of photography, it is then time to consider the primary use to which the camera will be put. For many specialist photographers, this will not take any time at all. They will have very clearly defined needs in mind. For the majority of camera users, matters are not so clear.

Landscape Photography – Which Lens?

April 7th, 2009 by author

There are always the questions – many are answered based on opinion rather than fact
