Thank god for the internet. It’s not only made communication and commerce easier by a factor of 1000, it’s given us access to the information we need for anything from fixing your car to planting your garden just a few keystrokes away. No more need for expensive professionals; we’re a DIY world now. Instead of having to fork over hundreds or thousands of dollars, all it takes is an internet connection, a clear head and some perseverance to find whatever it is that you’re looking for. One of the most fun DIY adventures can be learning an instrument, or specifically taking the time to learn guitar online. The guitar is, of course, the defining instrument of blues and rock and roll, so it’s only natural that most of us, at some point, have picked one up and tried to figure it out.

In 1962, at 23 years of age, Bob Marley recorded his first two singles. These two songs, “Judge Not” and “One Cup Of Coffee” received little attention.
In 1975 Bob Marley had his first international hit with “No Woman No Cry”. A year later he was diagnosed with cancer. He continued to record albums and play concerts until his death in May 1981 at age 36.
“Buffalo Soldier” did not appear on record until 1983 and went on to become a big hit and one of Marley’s best known songs.

The Rolling Stones have endured a long and successful career, selling over 200 million albums world wide in their 40 plus years on stage.
One of their greatest hits was “Honky Tonk Women”. It was released in 1969, just 7 years after their formation, and was instrumental in catapulting them into the world spotlight.
“Honky Tonk Women” was released on 4 July 69 in the UK and one week later in the US, and was a chart topper in both countries. It was written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards in Brazil at the end of 1968 while they were on holiday.
The distinctive, and unforgettable intro to the song features a guitar riff, but with the beat played with a cowbell. Jimmy Miller, the Rolling Stones producer, played the cowbell for the recording.
“Honky Tonk Women” has often been referred to as the greatest rock and roll song of all time. Check out a video of a 1969 version of the song played live at Hyde Park.

Music is one form of art which has managed to sail through the passage of time. Each decade marked a new phase towards the growth of music. This was something that people of those times related to and felt attached to. One such era of rich and distinct music was the 80′s. The 1980′s was the time of young men and women with big hair and shoulder pads crouched over keyboards! The songs written and sung in thsi time period represented these people. These songs were great to dance to and a stark contrast to the punk music that had gone before. In the UK, the New Romantics were bands with flamboyant outfits and band names. The Human League, Adam Ant, Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet and Depeche Mode provided some terrific hits for the 80’s and were winners in their own way.
During this time Michael Jackson was at the height of his stardom when his album, Thriller was released in 1982. It went on to become the biggest selling album in history, producing the hit singles, Billie Jean, Beat It, and The Girl is Mine (a duet with Paul McCartney). The music of 1980s also belonged to Soft Rock which too was alive and well, spearheaded by Bon Jovi with their album, Slippery When Wet.

If you are planning a gathering or an event for someone special, an appropriate venue will be useful to create the atmosphere. The venue is the location where the event will take place. Finding special event venues is much easier today than it used to be thanks to the Internet. Before starting your search for a location you will need to work out the details of your event. First of all, what kind of event are you planning? A corporate conference will require a very different venue than a child’s birthday party. Keep a notebook where you can record details, notes and ideas regarding your event.
In your notes you should record what kind of event you are planning, the date of the event, how many people you expect, whether you need an indoor or outdoor location, and any other pertinent details. Having this information written down in a notebook will come in handy when you are researching different venues. Once you have the basic information written down you can start searching for locations and planning the details. In addition to the Internet you can also search the Yellow Pages although you are likely to find more detailed information online.

In my opinion the best way to reach out to kids is through their music. Kids love to sing and music also help you bond with your kids There is nothing wrong with rock ‘n roll, or even rap if it suits the tastes of the younger generation. It is all about reaching out to people to gain new believers. Christian music can also bring a family closer together. The most important thing to remember is that the church starts with the family. Finding good music that everyone can sing along to is crucial to bringing a community of believers together. . After all, almost all children love to sing, and it is all the better if they can get their parents to join along. Remember to have fun with it!

So you see, it’s not the easiest list to make. It’s not even the easiest list to think about, because guitar solos have a way of effecting different people in disparate ways. I may love David Gilmour’s chops as shown on “Money,” but someone from a more technical point of view would never list that particular solo in his or her top hundred. It’s a very personal thing. I spent a lot of time thinking about the 100 greatest guitar solos when I was in my “Pearl Jam” phase in the mid-90s. “Alive” comes readily to mind. Since then the guitar solo has not precisely gone away, but it’s played less of a central role over the last fifteen years of music.

In the old days when young boys and girls were required to attain certain accomplishments so as to be received into polite society, it was the prerequisite that everyone learn the piano. Even middleclass families, who liked to copy the upper classes, made sure that their children learned to play the piano well enough to show off among their friends. Well into the sixties, every small town has a nice lady who gave lessons. Children went to her house for one hour one day each week for these precious lessons. At least they were precious to the parents.

Computer generated music has always been a subject that fascinated me. Practically since the beginning of electronics, people have been generating electronic music. In the early days, people experimented with big banks of oscillators, generating songs through laborious and complex processes using analog circuits. The theremin, the digital analog synthesizer, and many other interesting instruments came out of this experimentation. Nowadays, computer generated music is incredibly sophisticated. People can write, arrange, and play whole scores without so much as touching a piano keyboard.

The great thing about Martin acoustic guitars is that they only get better with age. The guitar I am playing now is my dad’s – the same when I started out with. I have a few guitars that look better, but none of them sound as good. This guitar is something like 30 years old, and the wood has had time to age and mellow. Although the body is scraped up, I made sure to keep the guitar in good shape otherwise. The neck is straight and true, and the body has a richness and depth that is out of this world. .

For instance, do you want your car MP3 player to come with a built-in charger? Do you need it to be able to accommodate portable music players like an iPod or Zune, or are you planning to use a memory card? Answering these questions first will help you gain a better understanding of what kind of car MP3 player you should purchase. Once you figure out your features and budget, you can begin the comparison shopping process. I recommend reading car MP3 player reviews first, particularly if you’ve never used one of these devices before. To the inexperienced consumer, these products might all look the same, but obviously that’s not the case. Different manufacturers bring different quality levels and performance to the table, even on devices in the same price range, so it’s a good idea to read reviews from people who have firsthand experience with the item in question.

An article about: James Taylor Song
We used to listen to James Taylor song after song on long road trips. My parents used to play James Taylor albums every Sunday morning while we would sit around eating brunch and enjoying watching the day slipping by. I do not like every song James Taylor has ever written, but in general I feel pretty positively disposed towards him.

If you make a survey today in Germany about who is the most successful performer currently, Peter Fox certainly would be among the first three.
The Berlin Seeed-Singer has emerged a lot during the last 2 years.
Since 1998 he is one of the most famous vocalists of the reggae/dancehall group Seeed. The redheaded singer already stood out amongst the eleven-strong band. Peter Fox, born under the name of Pierre Baigorry, won numerous honours with Seeed for instance the Echo, the golden record and the platinum record.
The father of a little daughter is a perfectionist and is the least lazy person you’re likely to meet. That’s why he decided to produce his own record during the time Seeed was having a break.
Thus his first solo album was created, which actually was not planned. Today the all-round talented musician is now a singer, songwriter and producer working within the genre of reggae and hip-hop.
Being a solo artist doesn’t suit the Berlin guy. He characterizes himself as a bandsman and therefore he soon asked for assistance from the Babelsberger Filmorchester. The combination of classic music, the reggae-, hip-hop sound and the German texts resulted in the solo album having a really unique sound.
The tour, which just ended in the last few days, has been a raving success. With his “Stadtaffen”-tour the Seeed singer accomplished a triumphal procession through German halls. Including the songs from his platinum album “Stadtaffe”, his seven-headed band and the support of the Cold Streel Drumline Peter Fox had countless enthusiastic fans singing and dancing.
In February he replaced the state Berlin at the bundesvision song contest and reached first place apparently without any effort.
This event was followed by the Music Echo award in the urban/hip-hop category, the Echo Critic prize as well as the prize of producer of the year. Only one week later his album obtained the first place in the German charts.
Definitely a successful year so far for Peter Fox!
But the Berliner doesn’t set himself apart at all: today he is living with his family in Berlin-Kreuzberg, which every now and then inspires his writing.
In the end I have good news for those of you who went away empty-handed from the sale of the tickets for the tour: Peter Fox is going to continue his tour in spring with lots of further shows under the “Peter Fox feat. Cold Steel – Tour 2009″ motto.
So start searching for a Ferienwohnung in Berlin or an Unterkunft Berlin where you can stay with your friends for a weekend enjoying the entertaining concerts of the multitalented Peter Fox.

Last Friday I found a really nice place to go for a dance in Barcelona. “La Fira” is a huge bar, which is characterized as a “barmuseum” by the owner. This expression is more than fitting. The club is based on a fairground namely in a way that you can only imagine if you would have seen it with your own eyes: Fair swings, bumper car wagons or shooting ranges. Everything is very colourful and there is also a selection of animal masks for decoration.
If you stand in front of the access you would think that this bar could only hold about 50 people.
Well, that was at least the impression we had standing in front of it at 1 am on Friday. However, you will be surprised as soon as you enter “La Fira”. The area is incredibly extensive despite it looking small from the street.
You feel like you are in one big fairground. The attention to detail is impressive. There are figures, you might know from ghost trains, are allotted through the whole location and you can also find lots of collectibles shown in cabinets on the side of the club.
The 2 bars look like as if someone had taken them straight from a fair in order to place them here again in Carrer de Provença 171.
The music, however, luckily was not like what you would expect in a fair. In “La Fira” the music is not limited to one type during the whole night. Far from it! I have never been to any other disco in Barcelona, which offers such a broad range of music.
I personally really loved the assortment and I don’t think I was the only one…
Unfortunately the drinks are comparatively expensive: Long drinks 8€, beer 5€ and a shot 3€ but therefore the entrance, compared with the huge discos, is pretty cheap.
Unlike Razzmatazz, Apolo, Opium and all the other gigantic clubs in Barcelona, “La Fira” includes only one floor, which also means that you don’t lose your friends so easily.
A little highlight of the night was the barkeepers who performed and danced to 2-3 songs up on the bar…
Well, whoever prefers going out to smaller clubs and has already booked a hotel in Barcelona should definitely visit “La Fira”. It provides you with such a unique and special experience.
The opening hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 10 pm to 3 am, Friday and Saturday from 7 pm to 4:30 am and Sunday from 6 pm to 1 am.
Let’s go dancing on the fair!

Since December 2008 the famous German film “Der Schuh des Manitu†has been available as a musical in Berlin. It is performed in the theatre of the West which is one of the best-known theatres for musicals and operetta in Berlin.
“Der Schuh des Manitu†is about the two adorable heroes chieftain Abhachi and his blood brother Ranger getting ready for the biggest adventure of their lives. As they try to achieve their big dream of a favourite pub for their tribe, they are not only chased by bloodthirsty Schoschones but also by the evil beggar Santa Maria and his gang.
The performance promises, like the film did itself, fine entertainment and it appeals to a wide audience, of all ages.Glibly, intoxicating and full of wordplay the musical parodies many old Western stereotypes.
After its premiere on 7th December 2008 the play even manages to win the culture-news-award of the journal “Culture News†for the category “Best Entertainment 2008â€.
“Der Schuh des Manitu†is an enriching event for the Berlin scene because it will certainly attract many viewers to Germany’s capital.
There were more than 25 songs and orchestral tunes written due to the musical’s release, which include rousing Broadway- ensemble numbers as well as romantic ballads and typical Western soundtracks.
After Stage Entertainment’s first production “I was never in New York” had already been a complete success in the opera in Hamburg, they created, with the western parody, their first self-made musical premiere for one of their theatres in Berlin.
The film of the same name was also the most successful German film in 2001. Almost 12 million visitors were crazy about the persiflage of the Western gem only in Germany.
Producer, director, writer and actor Michael Buly Herbig has won numerous awards for its film including the German as well as the Bavarian film award, the German comedy prize for “best comedy†and the famous “Bambiâ€.
Even the musical’s rejections are positively influenced and Michael Bully Herbig gets a lot of laughs.
It should not be a problem to find a Unterkunft Berlin or a Ferienwohnung in Berlin. There is a great offer of hotels and Ferienwohnung Berlin that are available in different price categories and sizes.
The rail network in Berlin is also very well organized and you are able to reach the Theatre Of The West, which is near the famous Zoological Garden, without any difficulty on the subway.
Hence nothing is getting in the way of an amusing evening including a lot of fun and laughing. Just let the musical put a spell on you and enjoy a stress-free evening.

The song writing partnership of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller provided the next number one with Hound Dog. The chart topping hits kept coming in the 1950s, including Don’t Be Cruel, Love Me Tender, All Shook Up, and Let Me Be Your Teddy Bear. The films that Elvis made also provided some success, including Jailhouse Rock. Three great musicians contributed to the early Elvis Presley music, providing the beat and the rhythm. Scotty Moore played guitar, Bill Black was on double bass and D.J Fontana was the drummer. The 1960s brought more hits with Are You Lonesome Tonight, Return to Sender and Wooden Heart. In the 1970s, there was The Wonder of You, You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me, Burning Love and Way Down.

Although I do like a wide variety of music, sometimes I don’t like surprises. So much of modern rock ‘n roll can be pretty vulgar, and it can really ruin my mood to hear something I’m not expecting that offends my tastes. Other people can listen to what they want, but for me and my children, only acceptable and appropriate music will cut it. That is why, when I will have to put on the radio, I listen to Christian radio stations. The used to be only one Christian radio station in town. It wasn’t bad, but it was a bit too contemporary for my taste. I like a mix of different Christian music. I like some Christian rock and Christian contemporary, but most of the stuff I’m really into is the older style of gospel music. I love bluegrass, African-American gospel music, and even older choir music.

Free Bass Guitar Lessons
When you begin to make use of free bass guitar lessons, it is important to remember that many of the lessons available are designed for those of beginning and intermediate range. While advanced players can hone their skills using these lessons, they rarely provide the material that an advanced player needs in order to proceed. This is mainly due to the fact that at advanced levels, the playing of a bass guitar becomes very subjective, allowing a musician to explore their own styles and beginning writing their own music. The big difference, of course, is that the sound is crystal clear. As long as you have a good connection and the website you’re connecting to is in good working order, there should be no problem at all. Some of the stations even have archives of their old broadcasts, so you can listen to basically anything that has played on it recently. One of the coolest things about Internet radio stations is that you can hear programming that is not even on the radio. One of my favorite Internet talk radio stations, for example, is basically an audio broadcast all about cooking ethnic cuisine from all over the world. As far as I know, it is never broadcast on the radio.

Electric Guitar Amps
There are many people who play guitar, but not all of them are going to take it as seriously as those that go on to play for most of their lives. Some think of it as a hobby, and others find that this is something that they can not live without in their lives. Some people start out with acoustic but then move on to the electric guitar. Many people play both. When it is time to use the electric, you have to have a way to amplify the sound. Shopping for electric guitar amps may not seem easy, but there are some simple things that can help you out.
There are full sized electric guitar amps, and then there are the practice size. These vary greatly in sound and capability, but you often want to start out with the practice amp. This is about a foot to a foot and a half square, and has very few options on it. However, this is perfect when someone starts out with the electric guitar. These electric guitar amps are far less expensive than the larger ones you would need for performance, but they do what they need to do and they can do it well. Most keep one later on for home use.
When it comes time to buy the larger and performance based electric guitar amps, you have to take some more time to see what you want to get. There are some types of amps that are better than others, and there are some brands that people prefer. Each of the different brands of electric guitar amps have their own unique sound. Some work better with different types of music, and other times, people just have a preference for a sound no matter what type of music they play.
One of the best things you can do when choosing electric guitar amps is to do your research first. See what others that play your style of music use, and then look for consumer reviews as well. These can cost anywhere from 1000 dollars and up, with the really good ones being very expensive. You don’t want to go about and choose electric guitar amps on a whim without knowing what you are doing. If you do, you could end up with something that does not work for you, and if you resell it, you won’t get back nearly what you put into it money wise.
Caring for your electric guitar amps can mean they last longer and sound better. Be careful when you store them, and make sure you know when the tubes are going bad. At times, something as simple as a fuse could have blown if something is not working, but you may not have any idea what went wrong. Electric guitar amps are very touchy, and as you know very expensive, so find a great dealer or expert to do the repair work for you.

I decided that building car speaker boxes was the best way to do this. I would build portable ones that I could pull out to take the speakers out of the car for tailgating parties. That way, I can enjoy them both in and out of the car. I expected building speaker boxes to be pretty easy, but there is a surprising amount of work to it. The thing that you have to keep in mind when you’re building a speaker box is that getting everything exact is important. It’s not like building a table. If the connections are a little bit loose, you will notice. Your speakers will cause the box to rattle, and the sound you get will not be as good.
