When you’re involved in a slip and fall accident in order to recover any money for your injuries you must prove that the property owner had “notice” of the defective or dangerous condition.
There are three ways that you can establish notice:
1. Show that the property owner actually caused or created the dangerous condition.
2. Show the the property owner knew about the dangerous or defective condition.
3. Show the the property owner should have known about the dangerous or defective condition.
Without being able to establish that any of the three things mentioned above are present you will not be able to recover a single penny for the injury that you sustain in a slip and fall on someone else’s property.
So, how do you find out? The best way is to call a personal injury attorney. Your attorney will investigate all of the facts and determine if you have what it takes to succeed.
This is exactly what I did several years ago when I had an accident at a local grocery store here in Long Island, New York.
I fell at the store and ended up calling an attorney that I found when I did an online search for “slip and fall accident lawyers long island“.
I called the attorneys, told them what happened and they began an investigation.
They ended up negotiating a huge settlement for me. So, if you’re in any type of accident where you’re injured, do yourself a really big favor…call a Long Island slip and fall injury attorney immediately.

What’s the point of having all these great things if you have no time to enjoy yourself? To me, it seemed like a waste of time. I wanted to look at alternative careers for lawyers because I wanted something that would make me feel proud of myself. I wanted a job which allowed me to be under less stress, while making a difference and still living at a reasonable standard of living. I did not mind taking a pay cut as long as I could work on something that I loved.
The most common Alternative Career For A Lawyer is to work in the Nonprofit sector. There are not-for-profit lawyers at pretty much every level of advocacy. Some of them work as advocates for the poor, taking cases for very little pay in order to help give adequate legal representation to those who can’t afford it. Others’ work setting policy for large outfits, helping to protect and safeguard the environment, defend workers rights, or do some other noble task. And then of course, there are the lobbyists ñ the lawyers who work on behalf of political interests in Washington. Although these are not the same sorts of stress-free alternative careers for lawyers, they still let you make a difference. In those jobs, you can really argue on behalf of a cause you believe in if you get picked up by the right company.

Are you looking for the best accident and injury lawyers Long Island had to offer?
Years ago when I had a car accident I had no idea who to hire to help me recover damages for my injuries. When I say “damages” I’m talking about money. I was badly hurt and the accident wasn’t my fault. I was waiting at a traffic light when a car came barreling at me from behind. The guy hit me so hard he pushed me into the intersection where my car was hit broadside.
I received a broken leg and several nasty lacerations on my face that left permanent scars.
I spent 10 days at Nassau County Medical Center before I was discharged. Then I had several months in a cast and physical therapy after that.
So, I needed an attorney because the insurance companies weren’t going to offer me what my injuries were worth. I didn’t know any attorneys. What I did was go online and searched for “personal injury attorneys in long island” and also “injury lawyers in long island“.
I found a great attorney who did all the work needed to get me a great settlement for my injuries. next time you need an attorney, you can do what I did and go online to find one or you can simply follow the link above to the attorney I used.

Attention: Personal injury attorneys, Long Island based, represent people bit by dogs with viscous propensities.
Have you ever heard the saying, “every dog has its day”? Well, when it comes to dog bites that saying is very true. You see, when a dog bites someone and that bite leads to an injury there is no liability for the owner of the dog unless it is established that the dog had “viscous propensities”.
Viscous Propensities are not established by the breed of the dog. They are established by whether or not that dog had ever bitten anyone ever before. So, in effect, every dog gets one free bite.
To get more information about dog bite cases or any other personal injury matters you should call a personal injury attorney. You can find one by searching online for “personal injury attorneys long island” if you live in Long Island. Or, if you live in New York City you can search for “new york personal injury lawyers“.
However, the easiest way to talk to a personal injury lawyer for free is to call the office of Riegler and Berkowitz at (631) 608-4114. The will give you a free case evaluation over the phone or in person to let you know if you have a case worth pursuing.

If you live on Long Island and you’re involved in an accident you want to hire a personal injury attorney Long Island based.
Why would you do this when there are better attorneys in New York City?
Well, that’s an interesting question…
Having an office located in New York City does not make the attorney a better one. On the contrary…a personal injury attorney in Long Island will be more familiar with the people and places involved in most accidents that occur on Long Island.
Do a search for the term “personal injury attorney long island” and you will find a plethora a well qualified and successful personal injury litigators.

It is a common misconception that, in a property transfer, the Seller has the legal right to appoint the conveyancer. This is not so. The practise of the Seller appointing the conveyancer to attend to the transfer is merely a convention. So too is the convention that the Purchaser is required to pay the transfer costs. The effect of this is that a Purchaser is completely denied the opportunity to negotiate…

A 75-year-old man complained of constant upper-left lateral thoracic pain. He said he had fallen from his bicycle shortly before the onset of symptoms and attributed the pain to the fall. Physical examination was unrevealing. Rib films showed no abnormality, and he was treated with aspirin. When he was seen again one month later, the pain had not abated. His medication was changed to ibuprofen, again without total relief. A chest film at this time was normal.
For the next six months, the pain waxed and waned but was generally tolerable. The patient did not lose weight and, aside from weakness and mild dyspnea, did not complain of other symptoms.
When the pain suddenly worsened, another chest film was taken, which showed a pleural mass and effusion in the upper left thorax. At this point, the patient revealed that in 1937, he had been employed for 30 days as a lathe operator working on high-pressure pipes that contained asbestos. Pleural biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of malignant mesothelioma.
Because of a recent myocardial infarction and worsening coronary artery disease, he was not a surgical candidate. Faced with the diagnosis, the patient entered a prolonged period of denial. A family conference was held, and the diagnosis, prognosis and practical options open to the patient were frankly discussed.
When the patient accepted the diagnosis and the inevitability of death, he executed a durable power of attorney for health care, completed a will and made other financial decisions important to his family. He chose not to undergo chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
The patient’s care was managed at home with the assistance of visiting hospice nurses and family counseling. He died three and one-half months after the diagnosis of mesothelioma was made.

The official work that is necessary when buying and selling a home is called conveyancing. A Solicitor is the human being that would be assistance you with this official work. Some of the things that a Solicitor or conveyancer would be doing are things like dealing with land registry. This is the procedure of making sure that the seller of a particular home is the actual proprietor and that they have the right to sell the house.
Another service a solicitor or a conveyancer provides is inspects to see if there are any land disputes that affect that particular residence and they also check the lease which gives them information on whether there are particular conditions or any other charges that you might have to deal with by purchasing that particular house.

I am often baffled when I hear about pain and suffering compensation. I wonder if this is something that the person filing a lawsuit might have thought of, or if this is something the lawyers like to throw on to get some extra money. Though I think there are times when this sort of things might be relevant, and a person may deserve some money for this type of thing, I think other times it is just greed. A friend from Australia tells me that American’s have the reputation of suing at the drop of the hat, and I can totally understand why this is. We do it all the time.

They talk about accidents, medical malpractice, and slip and fall. The reason these are advertised so heavily, in my opinion, is because the lawyers know they can get quite a fee from winning a lawsuit that has a large pain and suffering compensation claim attached to it. They know where the money is and how to get it.

A divorce is never easy, but it is possible to end a marriage amicably with little or no difficulty. However, this is not true in the many cases. Divorce lawyers are usually the only ones that truly win in a long drawn out divorce proceeding, which tends to be extremely overwhelming for the parties involved both psychologically and financially. The longer it takes to settle a divorce, the longer the conflict continues, creating huge legal fees for both sides. If both parties agree during the divorce procedure, on the settlement and other pertinent matters within a reasonable amount of time, with little or no intervention from an attorney, then final dissolution can take place rather quickly, before the mandated waiting period is up in many cases.

Michael Cherney the politically active Russian who owns the Michael Cherney Foundation is trying to get a multi billion dollar settlement from Oleg Deripaska, the owner of the Russian aluminium giant Rusal.
In order for Michael Cherney to get his case heard in a court in Britain, his legal team have got to convince the London judge that Britain is the appropriate forum for the determination of the claim.
This looks like a problem for Michael - as Britain has got nothing to do with this dispute - neither Michael Cherney or Oleg Deripaska live in Britain - the dispute originates thousands of miles away, in Russia, and involves a Russian company.
If the case does go to court, then it is likely to be very expensive for Michael Cherney to bring because when a non UK domiciled party sues Britain, the defending party has the right to ask for security for costs in the event that the case is not successful - and this is what Oleg Deripaska has done. Michael Cherney must therefore deposit a substantial sum to cover the costs of Oleg Deripaska.

As power of attorney he has the ability to pay her bills and access her checking account, but he is not obligated to do so. If he had become her guardian then he would have the power to access her money and an obligation to look after her financial matters, and she would not have had access to her accounts. We decided that the power of attorney was the best solution for her case because she can still go shopping and sign a check with one of her other children without having my husband along. For banking purposes the power of attorney status is very similar to having a joint checking account, either person can write a check.

Michael Cherney of the Michael Cherney Foundation has generously decided to donate $600 million dollars to charity if he wins his London court case against Oleg Deripaska the owner of Rusal the Russian aluminium giant.
But first Michael Cherney has got to get the case heard - easier said than done as this case has nothing to do with England.
The judge will probably reject the case as Michael Cherney is a Russian businessman who lives in Israel, Oleg Deripaska is a Russian businessman who lives in Russia, and Rusal is a Russian company.
In order for Michael Cherney to get his case heard in a London court, his legal team has got to convince the London judge that the case belongs in an English court.
