The swing plane is an important part of how you impact the ball. The swing plane is the angle at which the club travels through the swing. You want to make sure that your swing plane when going through the ball is parallel or close to parallel with your shaft position when you first address the ball. This will increase your chances of hitting the ball well. The impact point is a position on the swing path. However, the impact is the result that matters, although it is not what you should be thinking about when swinging. If you think more about where you going in the swing than the actual impact. If you get the swing position and plane right then your golf ball impact position will be good. The best impact position is slightly higher than the address position. This will give your ball the best flight through the air.

The regular rules of golf are always in effect at any golf course, but many courses will have course golf rules, known as local rules, that may override a traditional golf rule or may place additional rule requirements on your round of golf. Course golf rules don’t apply only to rules of play, but may also dictate rules of behavior for on the grounds of the golf course.

Following are a few more examples of some course golf rules you may encounter during your next trip to the golf course:
• Some golf courses may have seasonal rules in effect. For example, a common local winter golf rule is that you are allowed to “play the ball up.” This means that if you have a bare lie in the fairway, you can move your ball to improve your lie.
• Pay close attention to areas under construction or restricted areas on the golf course. These areas should be marked in some manner, and you are allowed a free drop if your ball has ended up in one of these areas or against a stake or rope marking the area.
• During wet weather, or times when the grass is sensitive, many golf courses will ask you to keep your golf cart on the cart path at all times. You will need to take a few clubs with you when going to hit your ball so that you can select the correct club and avoid costing time by running back to the cart for a different club.

The foundation of a perfect golf swing starts with your grip and stance. You want balance when it comes to your golf swing, and this begins with a solid stance. Your feet should be a little more than shoulder’s width apart. Your grip should be comfortable and not too tight. One sign that you may be gripping your golf club too tightly is if your hands begin to ache during your round or after you have finished playing.

Working as a caddy on the PGA Tour you get a lot of questions about your job, but the question caddies are asked the most is,” how do you get a job as a caddy on tour”? If you ask a tour caddy this question you are most likely to get some short vague answer that is little or no help to you. The main reason for these vague answers is mainly because the caddy doesn’t have the time to fully explain the job process. To give a complete explanation would take a good 20 to 30 minutes and more than likely they would still forget some important points.
Realizing there were golfers wanting this information and not being able to find it I decided to write an e-book explaining the complete process. The e-book explains exactly what to say, where to go, and how to do it.
I know a tour caddy job is not for everybody but for those that may be interested they need to jump on the bandwagon quickly. One of the best opportunities to secure a job as a tour caddy is coming up in the next two months and they need to be ready. Find out what you need to do to become a tour caddy.

There are three main types of golf clubs, and these are irons, woods, and putters. By choosing the right combination of golf clubs you can be set for an entire game. However, to call them “cheap” would be an utter lie. Golf clubs are very expensive. If you are not sure whether you are going to stick with the sport or not, it is probably a good idea to start with used golf clubs or otherwise cheap golf clubs.
Imagine all of the more hardcore golfers, and what their new equipment looks like. They probably replaced some perfectly good clubs just a few months ago in order to get the new and the best clubs. Few people really need this level of commitment to buying the new golf clubs all of the time, so you don’t need to hold yourself to the same standards that they do. Buy used golf clubs - you’ll be happy you did.

There are many aspects to golf that golfers find challenging. As far as I am concerned, there is nothing easy about it. To those who don’t play, it might seem like chasing a little white ball around with a stick, and might seem rather pointless. However, I do understand the challenge, and the need to get it right. Putting is much harder than it looks, and that is just one of the reasons why he thinks that backyard putting greens are a great idea. If you have somewhere at home in which to practice, you can only get better with each try.

If you wish to play the game of golf exactly as the rules state, created by the United States Golf Association (USGA), then the following list will help you become familiar with some of the basic regulations:
1. You are not allowed to give advice to your playing partners. Nor are you allowed to accept advice.
2. Every player has a maximum limit of 14 clubs to bring in his or her golf bag when playing the course. Occasionally, a golf club may break and replacing this club is allowed, so long as it is quick and does not interfere or delay the game. Probably the best thing about the driving range is the price. You only have to pay for a bucket of balls, and you can take all the time you want to hit them. If there is a line of people waiting, you shouldn’t take your sweet time, but usually when we go to the driving range we don’t have to worry about that. Maybe it is because there are so many of them around here. I know this spring he will go there again, and I know that our daughter will want to go too. I don’t mind really, as long as I get to take my turn as well.

Choosing a good golf club for a beginner is an important part of the game. There are a lot of things to consider when buying golf clubs. If you are a beginner and if you do not want to buy a whole golf set, buy adjustable golf clubs as these can be changed into various types. The 14 clubs may be changed into 5 or 6. This will help carry less and also help you tweak your clubs to make them perfect after buying them. This is one of the best ways to get to know the specific statistics of each club. Then once you are certain, you may buy golf clubs that are set permanently. Until you buy permanent ones you should be fine with adjustable clubs, as you are a beginner.

Here’s a good tip to lower golf handicap
Many golfers throw away a lot of shots during their rounds because they do not do a very good job of managing their game on the course. They will take very risky shots or pick the wrong clubs for a particular shot.
It is far better to be a little conservative and not go for the big shot especially if you are a high handicap player. You need to look at the hazards around the course and you also need to take a look at your game and hit the shots that give you the greatest chance of shooting a low score on that hole.
Sometimes laying up short even on a par 4 hole may be the best idea because you can then rely on good chipping and putting to put the ball in the hole. This is why working on short shots during practice is important because it gives you the ability to be a little conservative and not always go for the pin.

What is the perfect Christmas gift for a man. There seem to be plenty of suggestion all around us. I am sick of the marketing of Christmas, and I bet that you are as well by now. Oh, I know, people have talked to death about commercialism and consumerism and such, but these are not the things that anger me the very most. No, not at all. What angers me most is the way that our rigid roles are reinforced by the ways that people market their Christmas gift ideas.

Here are some tips to get that perfect golf swing
Swing slowly and steadily using a nice rhythm. At the end of a backswing the hands are above the right shoulder, with the golf club pointing more or less in the intended direction of ball flight.
Workouts with straight crunches won’t improve your swing or driving distance; concentrate on weighted rotational exercises instead. Using a weighted club, make rotational golf swings to improve your power. Once you understand that you can change your swing by using a simple technique, you’ll never underestimate golf fitness again.
Golf swing aids come in all shapes and sizes including apparel type accessories to correct alignment or a golf club add-on accessory to monitor your swing. There are golf swing aids that act as driving range simulators. Golf aids are often for sale at your pro shop or local golf shop.

When we were first invited to join the Orinda country club, me and my wife were more than a bit skeptical. You see, we were not brought up with country clubs, and had the negative associations with them that a lot of people share in this country. Country clubs are often thought of as places that are uptight, snobby, and not with the times, but nothing could be further from the truth.

One of the first things you need to understand before you perform a great swing, is that strength is not the secret. In fact, a good golf swing is all about physics.
Taking some interest in golfing exercise can help improve golf swing considerably. These exercises can teach you the correct motions, and train the correct muscles. As I mentioned earlier, it’s not about strength – it’s about using you conditioned muscles effectively. In other words doing the right thing at the right time. Having the extra flexibility in your body and muscles is the key to improving your gold swing.
But what if you’re not ready for advanced golfing exercises, and you just want to improve your swing technique? Fortunately, it’s now possible to learn basic (yet effective) simple golf swing techniques which are perfect for the hobbyist golfer.
